University of Michigan Waitlist 2024

Do you guys think they took A LOT more people off the waitlist this yr?

did anyone from kinesiology get off the waitlist?

I think that there is going to be a wave of instate applicants getting accepted so instaters, don’t loose hope.

So it’s over for me who’s an OOS. Well rip

Is there going to be another OOS wave?

@FallAutumnLeaf @chakavarti I wouldn’t lose hope, it’s early. My thoughts would be it depends how many OOS accept in this round. They have until May 8th to accept their spot-at least that’s what my students letter said the decision date was. Keep the faith while getting excited about where you deposit May 1 & good luck!!! Notre Dame just began pulling from their waitlist as well.

Got off the waitlist and got into LSA for Data Science Major (OOS):

  • SAT: 1460
  • GPA: 3.96 (weighted)
  • National Merit Scholar
  • All AP class but English
  • Clubs and sport and stuff

does anyone think there will be another OOS wave, I am losing hope lol

Do you know when the IS will hear back.

no, but hopefully soon.

My son got off the waitlist for Michigan comp sci. He was also accepted NYU cas and UCSC. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

So housing and food covered free everything at GT. Nice. Still go the free route. Ross is not guaranteed as a transfer but you don’t need Ross to get a good job going to Michigan. If planning on grad /law school and parents can afford that… Seems like a no brainer to. E

Seems like a decent size wave off the waitlist yesterday for OOS. Congratulations to all!!!

Do you mind sharing stats ?

Do you guys think that people accepted from the waitlist have any shot at merit scholarships? Or has that ship already sailed…

In case this helps anyone at all, I was admitted off the waitlist for LSA yesterday, and here are my stats:
OOS
SAT: 1530
Unweighted: 3.9583
Weighted: 4.83 (all APs, IBs, and honors)
In terms of similar schools, I got waitlisted at UVA and accepted at GT. My decision will come down to financial aid (very low expectations), but I wish anyone else luck out there! I was deferred then waitlisted, so I know how discouraging it can be.

The thing is that you will change your interest. Being at UMich it will allow for more options at an elite and respected school.

Sailed… But who knows. Merit is usually for instate. Very hard to get merit at Michigan

did everyone who got accepted off waitlist get an email or did you just check the portal?

Do they normally release oos and intl waves separately?
