University of Michigan Winter 2019 Transfer Thread

@FutureWolverine3 Congrats to you as well! I applied to kinesiology too. When did you submit ur application?

@MacKid997 I didn’t get accepted yet. But everything was completed on the 1st for me. What about you?

@FutureWolverine3 I submitted my application at the very last minute. Haven’t heard any thing back yet. I applied to health and fitness tho

@MacKid997 Im sure you got everything turned in. My guess is we get a reply last week of this month or second week on November

Is it our admissions councillor that gives us a decision on admissions.

@fasdfdssdf if you don’t mind sharing. When did you submit your application? and where are you transferring from?

@Jess47 Might be a stupid question, but how did you know who your admission counselor is?

Thanks everyone, I submitted my app September 26

@fasdfdssdf Was everything received on the 26th or was your app just turned in ?

App was turned in, I sent all my stuff in around the same time however. Received the email saying my app was received on October 4.

@fasdfdssdf can I ask a question… who is your admissions counselor?

@fasdfdssdf and also how many credits did you have and what was your GPA?

I’m a first semester freshmen so I currently do not have a GPA. I have 0 credits completed and 14 in progress.

What were your high school stats and extracurriculars? I’m in the same boat as you except I have 20 credits from AP exams and am taking 18 credits right now.

@fasdfdssdf ^

Hey guys I applied LSA with more than 60 transferable semester credits, will that be a bad thing when they evaluate my application? I know Umich tends to like students with the units close to 60 but not sure about over 60.

got accepted in LSA!!! in late night as an international student from U of Minnesota with 30 credits
Go Blue!!!

Congratulations! Just curious, who was your admission counselor? @isdjoaijaosdjoa

His counselor should be Lehman Robinson. Don’t ask me why I know it. He is my twins brother. LOL I am still waiting for my decision. Freaking nervous!!! @Jeremiahhh71

@umchem2022 @fasdfdssdf In the same boat as well, first semester freshman. No credits completed, 14 in progress, 24 credits from AP/IBs. Submitted my application on September 30th, was received in early October, but haven’t heard anything back.

Was accepted as a Freshman for Fall 2018
GPA: 4.0 (4.36 weighted)
SAT:1510
Extracurricular: Sports, choir, volunteer coaching, tutoring, a few clubs
Currently playing D1 soccer at a different University of similar academic caliber, but looking to transfer as I want to focus on other things during college.

I know they don’t often accept people with few credits, so I know it’ll be tough for us, but stay hopeful!
