University of Michigan

I just got deferred from the University of Michigan College of Engineering. I heard that there are "good" and "bad" deferral letters. I received the one signed by Theodore L. Spencer and in the first paragraph it says that they are impressed with my achievments but they are going to hang on to my application for further review. Also, it asks for my fall semester grades but they do not need me to send them anything else. Does anyone know if this is the good letter?

I got a 31 on the ACT's (my lowest subject score was math but I am in honors calc and ap physics), I have a 4.28 weighted gpa, I have taken 4 total AP classes and 16 Honors classes, I play 3 varsity sports (and am captain), I'm in national honors society, I volunteer, and I feel like my essays were pretty strong. However, I may get B's this semester in AP Physics and AP Statistics. Do you think I will get in?

I think it is a “good” deferral letter from an EA application. So you might have a chance.

do you have any idea how long it takes for them to get back with a decision? the email said early April but I’ve seen posts on this website where people received the same email that I did and then got accepted a couple weeks later.
