I stacked myself up on collegeboard and it said around 55%. That's pretty much a hard reach for me because so many kids apply for UM from my school. I was hoping the ECs and a good personal essay could get me in. What do you guys think?

i think your satII scores might be alil off but u still have dec. sat left. this is your last chance at it and probably the last time that you will have to stress over tests at least until college so try putting all ur effort into this last month to study for math and maybe even bio so you can retake and get higher score! and try walking in to ACt if you can, i heard that for some ppl ACT can be easier but other than that i think ur ec’s brilliant, just focus for the last month!

Thanks and bump

Bump please chance me, I’ll chance back!!

I warn you, DON’T APPLY TO MICHIGAN OUT OF STATE!!! They charge an arm and a leg for out-of-state and offer peanuts for financial aid. Michigan got hit bad by the budget crunch and has slashed UM’s budget significantly.

I think you have a decent shot at it. Not a safety by any means, but only a slight reach.

Like your service and internship. What’s LEAP?

Subject tests could be a bit stronger. Take ones that you are also taking APs in. You’ll notice how the class prepares you for both.

What are you looking to study? What are your interests? Give them a clear idea of who you are. Your personality will need to really shine out in the essays, as I don’t think they interview at all.

Best of luck. I hope this helps. Sorry about the bad money news. Can you chance me? Mine’s enclosed in the link below. Thanks. Peace.

hey i agree with info over here that applying OOS to Michigan is not that good of an idea since you will be paying private schools prices for a public school education.(thats why i didn’t go + there are so many kids at the school that if you’re looking for teacher to student connection forget about it) But from what I see of your stats I would say that you have a very good shot at getting in if you applied already. I applied last year to U of M with slightly higher stats and was waitlisted but was accepted later on. The main reason I believe I was waitlisted was because I applied kind of late around late December so my biggest advice apply Early as possible.

OOS for U of M will not accept you with your grades. You must have a 3.9+ UW GPA to even be considered admission.

False…^
