University of Michigan

Hey!
I was wondering if any of you guys know about the Markley residence hall at U of M? Thats where I was assigned and I heard it had all types of rodents. Have you heard anything or experienced anything?

hm not sure why u post it here…
the vibe at markley is really good, everyone’s a freshman, so it’s really easy to socialize w/ people. Rodents? Nope, i did hear someone saying there was a rodent or something in their room, but that’s because the guy who lived in there had no sense of sanitization.

Markley is pretty darn nice, at least better than north campus dorms…

We welcome you to our very own forum: [url=University of Michigan - College Confidential Forums]University of Michigan - Ann Arbor - College Confidential/url.

I can’t imagine the university tolerating a rodent infestation. If you run into any problems like that you just have to make a call and it will be taken care of. My heater broke in a different residence hall last year (I am pretty sure the whole floor was out) and they not only came in the middle of the weekend to fix it but gave us a space heater to use for the rest of the year. So I wouldn’t worry.

Markley is a freshman dorm. I think it’s really either a love it or hate it kind of thing. If you desperately hate it there will always be someone on North Campus willing to swap with you, you are lucky to have gotten on central. You have no need to be in your room except to sleep if you don’t like it there. So take heart. It may not be nearly as bad as you fear, and even if it is you very rarely have to deal with it in waking hours. There are lots of other places to study and hang out.

thanks everybody!
And no I wasnt aware of the other forum, having joined just 45 minutes ago and everything haha
