<p>My son has applied to UofM as econ major in LSA. On his application, he indicated that he would like to be considered for Preferred admission to Ross as a business major. When I view his application page, this Preferred admit info doesn't appear anywhere...just that he is applying to LSA as Econ major. Should it be noted online? Was this an error when they uploaded his info? Does anyone know for sure how this works?</p>
<p>Call the Admissions Office and ask about the Preferred Admission status. They are really nice at UMich - helpful and polite - just make sure you have your son’s UMID handy.</p>
<p>Call and ask, but I do believe the students are accepted first into LSA and then those applicants that indicated Ross are reviewed…two step process I think. If you ask on the UofM forum, someone there will also know if you are disinclined to call admissions.</p>
