University of Michigan's First Year Writing Requirement Tips

<p>Hello!</p>

<p>I am incoming transfer undergrad and need to fulfill the FYWR because UMich won't accept my previous university coursework. I need some help in selecting a course that requires lesser reading -- I am fine with writing (preferably, creatively). I am planning on taking 18 credits this fall and don't want to kill myself with an English course that requires lots of readings each week. After all, everyone loves the sight of sun. haha</p>

<p>You really only have two main choices for FYWR. The writing courses for the fall filled up awhile ago, so I don’t think you’ll be able to take one. Your best bet is to ask around and take it in the winter. Reading loads will depend more on your instructor rather than the course itself.</p>
