I've just finished my application to the University of Minnesota and I'm hoping to major in Biochemistry at the College of Biological Science. Here's my problem...on their page it says they require chemistry, biology, and physics. I never took a physics course at my high school and it's too late to start it next semester. I know that they look at a lot of other factors than just that and I should worry too much about it, but do you think I still have a good chance of getting accepted? I've taken Earth Science, Honors Chemistry, AP Biology, and CIS Anatomy and Physiology. I have 29 ACT score. Over a 4.0 gpa and ranked 9th in my class (out of 325 roughly) currently.

Bump

If I were you I would contact the office of admissions ASAP. Explain your situation and I think they will give you different options. Perhaps you can take it over the summer? You sound like a well rounded applicant so don’t count yourself out.

I got into CBS with no physics taken. It shouldn’t be an issue with the accolades you’ve listed since I did same as you if not slightly worse

That’s a relief
