University of Minnesota: Revoking admissions

Does any one know what the policy for UMN in regards to revoking/rescinding an admission? I did pretty bad 1 semester with 2 D's, but the rest A's and B's. Im doing a lot better this semester with only 1 C and 1 B and the rest A's. Am I doing to get rescinded?

Well, I got a D+ from a C+ in one class but all my others went up in grade so not quite as bad (I have trimesters so I can easily improve). I think as long as you do well this last semester you’ll be fine if you keep your grade at least where it is now.

Which college were you accepted to and what classes did you get those grades in? Getting a C+ in calc probably doesn’t matter, but getting a D+ in English when you’re going to CBS… I wouldn’t be surprised if you were rescinded

I was worried about the same thing last year when I was a senior. It was April and I was getting 2 D’s (AP Stats and a college english class) and I called the University to ask what I should do.

They told me that the admissions office will never force someone out of the university after they’re admitted. They showed earlier that they’re capable of doing the work here and once someone is in, they’re in. However, he told me that then advisors in your particular college are looking at your final grades around your orientation registration time, they may raise an eyebrow if you did poorly enough and refer you to the dean and possibly not allow you to register. He told me that hardly ever happens though.

So seriously, don’t worry.

Okay, so what about scholarships? Would they revoke money if my grades are… 3As, 2Bs, and a C+?
