Hi, I'm planning to take the math placement test this weekend but idk if i should study for it or what to study for. i'm in precalc this year. can anyone that took the test inform me about which subjects were on it?

It was precalc. Barely some calc if any.

I haven’t taken it yet, but one of my friends said there was a lot of geometry.

It’s a calculus readiness test with precalc and trig.

Studying hard for a placement test defeats the purpose. If you can’t pass the test, maybe you shouldn’t be placed in a higher course.

Yeah it was extremely basic

Hi guy, I got 26 correct answer in math placement test and all of my answers in trig are correct. I’m so frustrated since I was so careless when taking the test. Could you please tell me whether 26/30 is a good score or not?

DO you have any AP credit?

But yeah thats fine they are just making sure your not really behind in math

I took college algebra and college trig at a cc my senior year and they both transfer so im pretty sure im good to go right?

Well it depends on your major. But yeah those classes would be fine for the placement test.

You should be fine. I took through Pre-Calc my junior year in high school (and didn’t really try - or do well), and didn’t take math my fourth year. I placed into Calculus.

Meanwhile, I just want to caution folks who are taking BA programs that do not need Calculus - don’t take Calculus. I took it to make myself more well-rounded, but more applicable classes, like Statistics, may be a better option.
