University of Minnesota

I'm a junior girl living in Illinois. I got a 30 on my ACT. I have a GPA of 3.85.
I'm also in a lot of extracurricular activities: National Honors Society, Spanish Honors Society, Class Council, Freshman Mentoring, Newspaper Staff, and Rotary Club.
I volunteer a lot, too.

What are my chances that I get into UMN Twin Cities with this GPA and ACT score?
Also, I plan on majoring in Computer Science.

You have great chances of being admitted! Continue to stay involved with community based E.C’s and ones where you demonstrate leadership and you should have no problem being admitted.

This will give you a good idea of your chances: <a href=“Academic Profile of Fall 2022 Admitted Freshman Applicants by College | Office of Admissions”>http://admissions.tc.umn.edu/academics/profile.html</a> You can pursue a computer science major in either the College of Science and Engineering (extremely competitive, especially to get into honors program) or the College of Liberal Arts. I’m sure you will get into one of these. Good luck! My daughter has been accepted to UMN, and it’s her top choice right now. We will be visiting there this winter.
