Does anyone know how soon after audition UNCSA gives their decision? Thank you!

We heard it could be this week, which appears to be how the process went in past years as well.

@calypte Thank you! My daughter just auditioned last weekend on campus, 2/2…wow, that will be nice to get that quick of a response!

My daughter was also there on 2/2; best of luck to your dancer!

@calypte Good luck!!

@calypte Hi, you were right, my DD got an email today from uncsa :slight_smile:

@thedancermom We also received an email, though a friend of hers at the same audition said she did not–perhaps they hold back on a few decisions until their final auditions? Should I assume from the smiley face it was good news for your daughter as well? What schools are high on her list so far?

@calypte Congrats! Yes, my daughter was also accepted. Waiting on USC, NYU which of course are tough ones so can’t really count on… Boston Conservatory is for sure one of her favorites of the auditions she has done so far. She did love things about UNCSA, now just looking into it more. Just auditioned for Mason Gross and Peabody is next week but really don’t know too much about either of those? What about your daughter?

Hi there! Just started lurking as I had to finish up with my theatre performance son who graduates high school this year. Now that he is settled for the fall, I’ll be turning my attention to my freshman daughter who has dreamed of being a professional ballerina since age 3. I’m just now starting to do a bit of research on colleges. What can you all tell me about UNCSA’s dance program. It looks like it has strong classical ballet ties and works a bit with ABT (my daughter’s dream company). In your research how strong of a ballet program do they have and is it their primary focus for dance? How competitive is the program? How many dancers do they typically accept?
