I’m not surprised nor angry about Notre Dame deciding to mail letters - the school is centered around traditions and I personally would feel better reading an actual letter than text on a computer screen. Honestly I think they should send out courier pigeons to deliver the decisions, but that’s asking too much.

Not angry for sending letters but they could have at least sent them out monday or friday. W/e im probably rejected so

“DS got an e-mail that said letters go out tomorrow.”

You’d think if they would send an email regarding when the decisions will go out via snail mail…nah!

Just curious, how many of us are from Chicago? It seems like a disproportionately high number…

^^^
That irony was not lost on me. ND was the only school ds applied to that asked for snail mail scores from the College Board.

Youdontsay-

Why did your son receive an e-mail regarding this?? Was it in response to an email that he sent ND about the mailing of the letters?

Accepted!!! They posted it!

My sister had applied there. She didn’t get accepted
Kind of sucks because she graduated top 10 in High school.

Internationals? Congrats

i’m not even going to suck it up
I’M SO JEALOUS
congrats, tfeduardo12. hopefully the first of many CC applicants!!

don’t get fooled you guys, that teduardo guy who says he got accepted applied RD. (his previous post). jeez

haha well i still hope a lot of people from cc get accepted!

leoti, ds applied to ND through the Questbridge scholarship. He didn’t win the scholarship, but finalists are eligible to apply EA or RD, if they want. The e-mail he rcv’d was in response to one he sent saying he did want to go into the RD round. Not sure why they put him in EA.

how much does being an URM, help with admissions? I’m african-american and i applied EA. Thanks

it is beneficial. ND from what I know needs diversity.

I’m surprised how low the minority numbers are on campus. That really stood out to me. As a Hispanic, I was very surprised to learn Hispanic enrollment is in the single digits.

I’ve been recieving information from them since my sophomore year…I had been casually just throwing it to the side, assuming that it was generic. But, I decided to apply EA…and get this I recieved a phone call a couple weeks ago telling me about the school. So idk…my EC’s are spectacular , but my grades are sub-par.

yeahh i hope that helps, im hispanic also and thats partially what i wrote my essay about (: i’m an irish catholic but also half ecuadorian… im part of the majority and minority! hahah

I’ve been receiving emails and stuff too for a long time, but I never really put any hope in those because they are most likely just marketing…I have a friend who graduated 2 years ago. Harvard and other top schools kept contacting her so she aimed too high and ended up getting rejected everywhere and going to her safety =( Now I know it’s not really a likely since I’ve been receiving emails from Harvard too and they don’t mean anything >.<

yeahh schools always send a ton of stuff out to give people false hope so they apply so they can reject them… its because they want to keep their low acceptance rates
