Didn’t see a thread out there for this so I thought I’d start one… Any other applicants out there?
Yes, I have applied as well. I’m applying as an incoming junior, so this would be my last shot. I would be interested in getting to the ACMS program here!
Yes! I applied as an incoming Junior. My major is Aerospace Engineering. Thanks for starting this thread
Also applying as incoming sophomore. CS major.
I also applied! Incoming sophomore, Architecture major (which only accepts sophomore transfers, so this is my only shot)
Also a transfer, incoming sophomore psych/spanish major!
Can you guys help me out? I am considering withdrawing from an intro course I’m in right now. The teacher is awful, a lot of people have already withdrawn, and even though my grade is above the average (I go to a top 20 school) it would bring my GPA down a lot and I don’t see any chance of the circumstance improving. I know I would have to contact ND and let them know–do you think it would hurt my chances of be accepted as a transfer? Thanks in advance for any help!
Also applying as incoming sophomore as an econ major!
I was waitlisted last year, and was on the waitlist until they closed it. I was absolutely devastated, especially since my grandpa and dad went to school there, and my mom went to St. Mary’s. I am coming from Boston College in the Carroll School of Management, which is ranked 4th in the country. Hoping that this is the year! Does anyone know how much legacy is taken into account as a transfer? I know 25% of each incoming freshman class is legacies, but I wasn’t sure about transfers.
Hey, tothefullest! I had to withdraw from a class my freshman year for the same reason. I am finishing up my sophomore year now, so I was able to retake the class and received an “A” in it. I think for your GPA, it would be better to withdraw from your class. Best of luck to you!!
@golf95: I’m sure being a legacy will help hugely, especially if you’ve strengthened your GPA/application while at BC. but is Econ in the college of business? I thought Mendoza doesn’t take transfers?
Econ is A&L
Am I eligible for sophomore transfer admission if I haven’t completed all the pre-reqs?
You can’t transfer into Mendoza Business - sure you want to leave Carroll?
My son transferred as a sophomore and graduated in 2013 – best of luck to all of you!
They really like you to have all those prerequisites down before transferring. However, they would allow you to take a summer course to make-up for that deficit before starting in late August.
I’m also applying to architecture. But I’m already a sophomore. I guess I have to waste a year. @lpw2014
I’m 100% sure. I will do anything to attend ND! I thought BC would be very similar to ND, and it has turned out it’s not. There is just something special about ND that I don’t feel at BC. BC is also much more regional university than ND is, and coming from the midwest has been a struggle for me.
Q: With this new policy will the University now allow external transfers into Notre Dame to enter the Mendoza College of Business?
A: In addition to internal transfers, the University will begin to consider external transfer candidates for enrollment into Mendoza’s undergraduate business program.
Hello all, I hope I can call you my classmates in the near future!
I’m applying as an incoming sophomore to Arts and Letters. I was waitlisted last year and have had a great freshman year GPA, so I like my chances. I don’t want to get too hopeful now though. I need a definite yes or no to move forward mentally.
Anyways, I’ve visited the campus a few times even this year, and each time I feel an even deeper desire to attend. The student interaction is terrific and something I pray I get to be a part of. Best of luck to you fellow applicants. I hope to see you at Transfer Orientation!
Hey did anyone here who is out of state get an email today from the Indiana Commission for Higher Education? Its from the state of Indiana about my FAFSA. It shows that I applied to the University of Notre Dame but its asking me to correct the fact that I’m not in state. Since I’m in California I can’t correct that to reflect that I am an Indiana resident because my residency is here and not in Indiana. Just find it weird…
@ShuttlepilotND Are you pell grant eligible?
