hey anyone departing from LAX? i am

i had a question about minority status
what about for the ppl who are like Indian and others.
i was stuck on whether to put African american or other
but i put african, cuz my parents are from their (but northeast africa, whose race is closer to middle eastern ppl in a way, but we’re kinda mixed but nonetheless i am african.
is african american only an option for black ppl? what about north and northeast africans?

Are you African? check
Are you American? check
Well I guess that makes you African-American. case solved

Seriously though, if there is a line to specify “other” you might put Egyptian or whichever ethnicity you are, otherwise putting African-American is fine because that’s technically correct and anyone who tries to say otherwise is an (insert insult here)

A word of advice:
def. use your free time to go to a school gathering of some sort…a sports event, party, etc.
for my spring vis (EA), some friends and I (yes, i made friends while there…it was amazing..) found our way to a hockey game, and 4 parties
Those were def the best parts of our weekend…The sense of family & school spirit is THE BEST. I get chills just thinking about the hockey game. & i dont even like hockey!

Do any Indians/Hindu’s go to Notre Dame?

I know seven Indians personally, only one is a Hindu. There are more obviously, especially among the grad students. I can’t tell you how many, not as many as some other schools, but there are Indians yes.

yeah…there are some indians…the IAND events are pretty sick, too. they had a sweet bhangra show at Asian Allure this year which blew the rest out of the water

Hey, have some love for FASO, our tinikling at Asian Allure was pretty good. Although I have to admit that I didn’t get to see the bhangra since we were back stage.

Asian Allure was awesome and I’m honored to have been a part of it. I don’t really know a lot of Indians but there is a good handful.

I know at least one Indian who will be coming this year, and Asian Allure is amazing.

There was a group of Indians playing cricket on South Quad today. They are here.
