University of Oregon or Oregon State for Geography/GIS?

I was wondering if I could get some perspective or opinions on which university would be better for my major, Geography with a GIS concentration.

Is one typialy considered better for the subject than another? Is one known for it?

I was planning on UO until I saw that OSU also had a program.

Any thoughts? Thank you in advance.

For anyone looking at this in the future.

UO has a Spatial Analysis degree I didn’t originally see because it’s new Fall 2017! It has a combination of GIS and computer science courses, which is important when trying to look competitive in the field. It’s definitely what I’m personally looking for.

OSU still seems like it has a better rep for science programs, so weigh your options because Oregon does have some great ones.
