University of Oregon Question

I check my application this morning and it said:

"Refer'd- Comprehensive Review"

From what I have heard is that they send this to all applicants who do not meet their 3.4 automatic admissions, and I can understand that. I have a 3.0 overall which I am not proud of and an average SAT score, I am suitable in all categories and do not need to go through "Alternate Admissions". My question is this;

If my senior year gpa is above my average gpa will that help? And does having this "Refer'd- Comprehensive Review" hurt my chances?

Thanks for the help.

I think this just means what you think - You do not have automatic admissions, so your application actually has to be looked at. It’s not alternate admissions, but it’s not automatic. I wouldn’t say it “hurts” your chances, but it isn’t “automatic”. Obviously, if you have a higher senior year GPA than your average it will help. Having a higher GPA can’t hurt.
