University of Oregon (UO) Early Action for Fall 2022 Admission

The scholarship info was in a separate email that I think went out to anyone who applied, not just those who were already accepted.

The admissions committee at UO is getting faster. My kiddo applied on Oct 19 and just heard back today. They are probably gearing up for a lot of apps coming in the next 10 days or so.

My daughter got her acceptance last night. I think she applied on 10/17 and acceptance came on 10/25. That is a speedy decision process!

She plans to major in neuroscience. And yes, she submitted test scores.

My son applied on 10/25 night, still have not heard back from Oregon regarding the portal logon. How long does it take for every one to get the info on the portal?

I think it was within two days. You should check his spam/junk folders, but I expect you will see it tomorrow.

Son applied on 10/30 and accepted today, 11/3! Submitted ACT-33. Weighted GPA of 3.2. OOS. Hoping for some sort of financial aid! Donā€™t think he applied to Honors. Is it advantageous? Super happy for his first acceptance! Congrats to all!

My daughter received hers (mailed acceptance packet) a few days ago ā€” very fun! We are visiting campus this month, too.

My daughter also received an email indicating that she would get her financial aid package in March.

Does anyone know if merit aid notifications are part of that? Or could we hear about merit aid earlier? (I mean merit aid other than the Stamps program ā€” I know that has a separate calendar.)

I read this to say that scholarships are included in a financial aid report that comes in late March.

Thatā€™s pretty clear ā€” thank you for finding/sharing!

My son applied on 10/28 but his app in UO portal said his grades were pending and missing SRAR (he had uploaded his grades in Common App). Then on 11/1 he got notice to upload grades via a hyperlink but reached out to OU counselor and said itā€™s not necessary since he put grades in Common App. Now app finally looks complete but no acceptance yet. He applied to architecture so that requires a separate review. Looking forward to hearing soon! W GPA 4.0, no test scores submitted, NorCal.

I think my child got a response a day after all supplemental documents were submitted, but that was before November 1 so things might have been moving faster then (fewer apps in). Good luck!

Edit: Read several more posts from last year and it looks like some merit information, like the Summit, came out November 2020.

Reading a UO thread from last year and a parent posted in November 2020 and said her son had just been awarded the Summit Scholarship (OOS) - maybe scholarship info comes out much sooner ? :woman_shrugging:

I hope so ā€” it would be awesome to have info earlier!

Hi everyone! My DS22 applied EA on Nov. 1. His portal is showing ā€œself reported academic recordā€ as submitted (green check mark), but nothing else is listed (transcript, recommendations, etc.). They arenā€™t listed as missing - just not there at all. Is that what your applicants are seeing too (those who arenā€™t admitted yet)? Our high school materials are showing up at all his other EA schools, so I donā€™t think there is an issue on that side. Thanks for any clarity you can provide!
