The application has been taking too much of my time.
Does anyone know ANYONE that's gotten into Oxford from America?
I need to ask a few questions, my counselor is clueless, it's a first.
(This really isn't something I'm counting on)

Bump. Bump.

You could try the international threads on the UK version of CC. Many american students who are thinking of applying to Oxford post there. the site is ‘the student room’, google it

What do you want to know?

The application is due on the 15th.
Only 10% of the student body is foreign. (So even less are American).

Yes, at an undergraduate level, Oxbridge student body is about 85% British. (Official data.) At a postgraduate level, however, in both universities, more than 60% of the student body comes from outside of the UK; many from the states.

“Forty per cent of our academic staff are citizens of foreign countries.” [Facts and Figures - University of Oxford](http://www.ox.ac.uk/about_the_university/facts_and_figures/index.html)

Hm, this surprises even me.

Yes; My cousin is a famous archaeologist working in Jordan right now on a dig. He was an American who attended Oxford for his doctorate. All I have to say is you better be passionate, decisive, and a very intelligent person in order to go there.
