anyone having trouble logging in to the portal?

son in at Penn (and Brown, Pomona, Tufts and a few LACs)–he is headed to Tufts!

Don’t know how to duplicate the template but standardized tests were very high, and GPA was high (unweighted). He had a host of interesting things, including having started two projects in two third world countries. He wants to save the world and feels the greatest connection to Tufts. Good luck to everyone, here.

yeah i can’t log in it says the portal will be open again at 7 pm

I got rejected too mates. Not surprised, i had low SAT’s (1970) and a low unweighted gpa (3.53). I did have some really good extracurriculars but alas the academics were not up to par. No hard feelings, expected it anyway. I do regret spending time tho on here, looking at these threads. Shoulda used that time for other productive things, like maybe working on dem SAT’s or my gpa

Yea, I can’t log in either. It says 7 PM??

[] Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: A combination of the following: the weaknesses listed above and the competitiveness of the applicant pool
[li] Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected: Accepted to WashU, BC Honors, UMich, UNC, and Notre Dame; Waitlisted from Northwestern and Vanderbilt; Rejected from Georgetown, Cornell, and Tufts; Waiting on Duke and Emory[/li][/ul]General Comments: Congratulations to everyone–whether it was Penn you were accepted to, or another fine institution. I’ve been rejected by 3 schools so far today (Tufts, Penn, and Cornell). Rejection is tough, but we have to remind ourselves that it says NOTHING about our worth as a person. Let’s look to the bright futures we have ahead of us! I got into my 2nd choice school (UMich), and there’s nothing more I can really ask for other than an acceptance to my 1st choice school (Duke).

Son accepted at Penn (Brown, Pomona, Tufts and a few LACs) and headed to Tufts!

Decision:WAITLISTED
Stats:
SAT: 2080 (770 R, 610 Math, 700 W)
SAT IIs: US History 800 Lit 720
GPA: 3.98 UW/ 4.4 W
Rank: top 5% UW/top 5% W (class of 283)
Other stats:
Subjective: Solid communication background/extra curriculars
Essays (topic?): Feeling isolated in my community and realizing that it was okay to be myself( sounds cheesy, but it was good)
ECs: Pretty good. Former VP of key club, academic challenge team co-captain, a lot of student journalism( school paper and local paper), and stage manager of theatre productions
Teacher Recs: good, english teacher
Counselor Rec: good
Hook (if any): first gen
State or Country: Maryland
School Type: Below Average Public
Ethnicity: White
Gender: female
Other Factors: Really passionate for my intended major, I think it showed in my Cuse Supplement essays
General Comments: This was the only top 20 school I applied to, so I’m relatively happy just to be waitlisted( although I somewhat of the black sheep now b/c my Twin Sister was accepted to Brown ED). I’ll either be attending UNC-CH or Lehigh this fall if I dont get off the waitlist

@antidramaqueen: your son should seriously consider both Pomona and Penn over Tufts - at the very least, both offer a more talented student body. His love for Tufts and Somerville, however deeply he feels that now, will fade or change as he progresses through college. I urge him to re-visit Penn at the very least and see how he feels.

Also: for rejectees, what does the text of the letter say? Can anyone copy and paste it?

Accepted!! I’m so excited!

Accepted…will post stats later

i’m off to syracuse next year then.
