@Transcripts_4rent @betwixt I thought Penn wasn’t doing transfer applicant interviews?
@betwixt Was it a likely letter for penn? The deadline feels like it just passed.
That I don’t know @avocadough … just saying that if @Transcripts_4rent received an interview invite - I think it is a general interview vs. something unique to the college they are applying to.
Yes @Eggyeol. I don’t know whether or not they have deadlines, but thought I had heard they roll out in two waves. Not positive by any means though…
@betwixt Oh, that’s interesting! I didn’t even know that. Thank you.
ignore sorry I figured it out
@Eggyeol haha! Figured what out?!
@betwixt I just had a question about submission for something but then I found the answer on their website. I need to read carefully before posting haha
@ByeYaleHiWharton I don’t appreciate your accusation. I don’t know what - or who - you asked. My daughter did receive a likely letter several weeks ago, and she is a sophomore transfer.
For those applying to Penn, did your penn portal say awaiting official high school transcript? I applied to other schools and all my other schools have received the high school transcript, except Penn, which is strange.
Just wondering is this a common problem or is it just me.
Thanks
@ObLiViOuSx99 I would call Penn admissions and confirm receipt … ours uploaded within a couple of days of submission … it won’t affect your decisions timeline in any way, so don’t worry!
Mine took a while to update, maybe a few weeks.
This is the non traditional school, and the interview is done by the admissions counselor.
@ObLiViOuSx99 It has been almost four weeks since I sent mine and it is still not updated even though my high school counselor got a note saying they received it. I am sure it is just due to the volume of everything.
Chance me: UMich Sport Management current freshman. 3.8 GPA. Member of sport business association and internship in athletic dept. High school 4.06 gpa weighted on 4.2 scale and 3.79 unweighted. 8 letter varsity athlete and other good extracurriculars. White middle class male from urban philly.
@avocadough LPS does interviews (I remember people talking about it on the thread last year), but none of the other schools do. I think it’s because LPS is for non-traditional students, so one they have fewer applicants and two those applicants are more likely to have compelling stories that are best shared in the context of interview. To everyone else who hasn’t applied to LPS, don’t stress if you haven’t been invited to an interview, they just don’t do them.
@betwixt I don’t mean to sound ignorant, but what is a likely letter? I’ve never heard the term before, and I don’t remember any of the accepted transfer students I’ve spoken with mentioning receiving one.
@Neurophile I had to look it up as well. It’s basically a letter sent by admissions that guarantee’s acceptance in some way.
@SmartJarhead Yea I just gave it a quick google haha. Do they send them to transfers too? Also, were/are you in the Marine Corps?
@Neurophile I haven’t heard of anyone receiving one, and yeah I was. I’m super uncreative and came up with a pretty stupid username lol.
