University of Pennsylvania RD Class of 2021

do people get rejected just because they didn’t complete financial aid? My FAFSA was rejected (figured out why and fixed it), but I got that notification from FSA like two weeks ago.

what is snail mail

@decemberbaby12 letters that come in the real mail (because they are slower than emails)

I hope I don’t get rejected just because I didn’t do FAFSA…

@exoheat11 Financial aid has no bearing on admissions, you will not be rejected for not completing a financial aid item, however, if accepted, you may receive your financial aid package later than most. @Kimo212 Thank you for your kind words! I agree for sure and best of luck to you on Thursday!

MODERATOR’S NOTE:

With all due respect, such discussion is relevant to this thread, and IMO, is certainly better than the numerous users that start their own new thread saying “I got (or did not get) a letter; what does this mean?”

Regardless, users cannot dictate what can and cannot be posted on a thread, or who can and cannot post - that’s my job. Good luck all.

So anyone here doing the astrophysics concentration (physics major?). If so, are you guys double majoring? I’m think in double majoring in economics and physics.

Is there a letter or email people receive who have completed all financial aid materials that suggests an acceptance?

Anyone got accepted by email or mail yet?
(:expressionless:

There isn’t a letter if you’ve completed everything.

or all will receive at the same time

Interesting…

Everybody who got the snail mail, post your decisions in the Penn Snail Mail Indicating Acceptance thread so we can help future applicants!

Didn’t send PFAS originally but I submitted it last Saturday (after letters were dated, before they arrived) and didn’t receive the snail mail. I’m holding out hope that it could be because I know I won’t qualify for aid so they didn’t need any more docs. Penn is my dream. Didn’t apply ED because that commitment scared me, kicking myself now. Hoping for the best but it’s not looking good.

Does anybody know when and how we will be notified on 3/28?

@bwalts61 The portals will be updated at 5pm with the decision and they will send us an email then too, telling us to check the portal.

@charcoalatey2021 Thanks. Less than two days now!!!

@bwalts61 Ahh fingers crossed :,) Good luck to everyone! You all deserve to get in.

@bwalts61 it is on 3/30, not 3/28. All Ivies except for Yale and Harvard sent decision date / time notification emails.

@MedSciBud Yea, sorry. Typed in the wrong date
