classic post right here

Your stats and ECs look great! You "should" get in, at least when compared to the middle 50 percent. So, you are only subject to the randomness or "X" factor which, for a school like Penn, is hard to judge (at least for me). My stats are nowhere near yours. I fall in that middle 50. Best of luck!

Thanks for the encouragement. Yeah, college is random...my friend had a 1600 and she was rejected from Penn.

What did you write your essays about?

Your friend may have had a 1600 but scores aren't everything. Especially to Penn since they have their specialized schools and passion can be worth a lot more than scores in the admissions process.

Yeah that may be true. Her first choice was Harvard, so I don't think she put a lot of effort into the rest of her apps, unfortunately

Any other opinions?

Just like my other posts, I think you'll get into Penn. C'mon--recommendation from previous head of Wharton admissions? NICE

you are likely wait listed. since you have legacy at others and you have not showed enough interest in penn by not doing early.

Thanks for your reply! Yeah, I hope that letter carries some weight :)

I think you'll be fine for Upenn! I got into Wharton ED with similar stats :)

Cool! Except I'm applying to the college, and not to Wharton

but did she get into harvard?

(i hope not, muahahahha)
