@mbjq10, Those applications are the same - PS Mobile is just the app version of the same applicant portal. Did you try accessing the applicant portal from the oafa.pitt.edu/commit page on your desktop? That page provides a direct link to the Accept/Decline section of the applicant portal - so you should see it there! If you don’t, please contact our office for assistance: 412-624-7488.

Thanks, @hailtopitt1787 - clicking the “Pay your enrollment fee” button on the bottom of the oafa.pitt.edu/commit page brought up a dashboard page that looks much different than what you get from initially logging in to my.pitt.edu. The Admissions tab shows the accept & decline buttons. Is there a menu selection from the MyPitt portal to get to this dashboard, or do you have to enter the link to the commit page every time?
Son applied to Pitt engineering - about 1450 SAT but 3.5 GPA because he didn’t apply himself 9-11th. He was accepted to Pitt Johnstown engineering. He has experience in the field (hook? Bonus, at minimum) already, and motivation kicked in academically senior year. He’s now getting straight As. Can he re-apply? Just curious. I doubt he will accept Johnstown although we’ll let him keep it as an option to compare to his other choices.
Accepted to Dietrich! Applied on October 30th, my buttons showed up yesterday and I got my letter in the mail today!
SAT: 1310 (superscored)
GPA Weighted: 3.99

Major: molecular biology
I applied through common app and submitted my SRAR a few weeks ago.
Hope this helps!
Hello! Does anybody know if the Pitt application is considered incomplete until the SRAR is received? I applied to the GAP program which had a deadline of November 15th and submitted my application for admission by this time. However, I didn’t complete my SRAR until a little over a week ago (until I received an email requesting me to do so) because my official transcript was submitted as part of my Common Application and I thought either the official transcript or the SRAR was considered for a complete application. I haven’t received a decision yet most likely because of my delayed SRAR, but my application shows up as submitted in the system by the deadline. Does anybody know if I would still be eligible for the program despite the late SRAR? Thanks!
For instate, what is SAT requirement? It sounds like higher SAT is needed for Engineering school? DS has PSAT of 1370 and is waiting for SAT score out on Dec 14th. He will hopefully have 3.6 to 3.7 Unweighted GPA, (currently 3.6) 12 APs, and honors. Reputatable Pittsburgh school district.
We do accept both your official transcript or the SRAR. You received a notification to complete the SRAR because it could speed up your processing time by a few weeks. However, if you submitted your application by November 15th along with your official transcripts, your application should be considered ‘complete’.
If you want to verify your status or simply want more details, I do recommend you contact your territory manager using this link: https://oafa.pitt.edu/esm_directory.php
Your son could technically re-apply but the admissions team will usually only consider applicants who have had a significant change. If your son wishes to go through this, you would have to write a letter to admissions detailing why they should be reconsidered.
My best recommendation is that he goes to Johnstown and then transfers to the main campus. The Johnstown staff can certainly help him navigate through this process.
SAT requirements are not different for in-state and out-of-state. I will say the School of Engineering is definitely one of our more competitive colleges to get into for first-year freshmen but the admissions process is a holistic review, not focused only on SAT scores.
I encourage you to look over the class profile (https://oafa.pitt.edu/explore/class-profile/) to get an idea of students who have been admitted to Pitt and the School of Engineering this Fall 2018 term.
D accepted to Dietrich. She listed major as Theater and Engineering. Will she be eligible totake the engineering path as a freshman? Her ACT is 33 and Gpa 3.7.
No mention received about merit money or Honors.
Should we assume “no” answer for merit money or Honors?
thank you.
I do encourage her to speak to her territory manager to make sure that she qualifies for the program because she must be admitted to both schools to qualify. Territory managers can be found using this link: https://oafa.pitt.edu/esm_directory.php
