@Anonymousllama02: Once you are logged into your portal navigate and click Admissions. What do you see? Pending Application or Two buttons for Accept and Decline? If you see Accept and Decline buttons then that means you have been admitted to Pitt. Good Luck!
I am so confused by the Pitt Portal. My daughter applied to Pitt on 11/4 and then got the email to login to the portal today 11/6. But then all it says is congratulations your account has been activated but no link to the portal. She found the portal by googling and signed in but her dashboard is blank. Also, does she need to report scores from the College Board or just do a SRAR? She doesn’t see a link to the SRAR anywhere but she had previously filled it out for another college and when she logins into the SRAR it shows that it has already been sent to Pitt. But under “To Dos” it says SAT/ACT Scores and then when she clicks on that there’s a status that says initiated.
Got a scholarship from Pitt. Worth $80,000 ($20,000/year)
Congratulations on that amazing scholarship!! What scholarship was it?
Pitt admission checklist indicates this:
Submit your Official SAT or ACT results (if applicable)
We will take your highest ACT composite score and your highest SAT superscore. We do not require the SAT Essay or ACT Writing scores.
Pitt is test optional this year but if your D wants the score to be part of the decision for admission and scholarship, she should send in the scores in from College Boards.
Just my 2 cents
My son got his buttons on a Thursday…email the following Monday, and snail mail that Saturday.
Did anyone get merit this year without ACT/SAT score? In this test optional year not everyone could take the test. With a high performing GPA and strong application can you still get merit?
Son received the Cathedral of Learning Scholarship Prestige of full tuition. Got the letter in the mail today. Sat 1520
when was your son accepted? My daughter was accepted mid October and we are hoping for some merit… SAT 1570, 4.0 unweighted 4.76 weighted GPA (All APs in 11th and 12th grade).
@sparkleybarkley: Congrats to your son. Can you also share his GPA. Thanks.
He got the letter in the mail separate from his acceptance package. He got his acceptance video October 23rd. His GPA is a 103.7 rank 2/398 lots of extracurriculars and community service.
Alamere…congrats on your merit money!
wow congrats in the full tuition scholarship!!!
@klbkab2 Thanks and good luck to everyone else.
Congratulations. Did he have to specifically apply for this scholarship?
@PAparents2020 Thanks! No he did not apply for it specifically. It seems to be a Diversity Scholarship. He is Asian/Hispanic.
I believe it was a merit scholarship. My stats are 3.92UW/4.61 W GPA and 1520 SAT.
@Alamere: Congratulations for a wonderful merit package from Pitt. Was your scholarship also a Diversity Scholarship or a regular University Scholarship?
@Alamere : Congratulations on your merit scholarship! Are you in-state or out of state?
Out of state and regular university scholarship tho I could theoretically qualify for a diversity scholarship I have not gotten one.
