The merit letter should come in the postal mail. Our D saw the merit in the Portal for awhile but not it’s no longer there.
Stupid question: What’s portal mail? The only email address they have listed for his account is his personal email… I don’t see any other email address anywhere. Am I missing something? Thanks

Does anyone know when Pitt will release financial aid decisions, and whether they are known to give any? (Penn State is terrible with it but I’m unfamiliar with Pitt’s reputation for this).

hi, i was recently accepted this week as a psychology major to the main campus. my buttons appeared on my portal wednesday, 1/6 and my acceptance video arrived friday, 1/8!

92 weighted gpa
no sat/act scores

I saw the merit aid on my daughter’s portal about 2 weeks prior to receiving the letter. Though the postal service has been abysmal lately. Now, nothing in the portal.
Where, on the portal, is merit aid listed? My DD received a letter notifying her of her merit aid a few weeks after her acceptance but we don’t see it listed on the portal anywhere.
It doesn’t show in the portal anymore. It used to show under financial aid but it only showed up for about a week.

Me too I’m confused
I feel like maybe it shouldn’t have been posted yet so they took it down. It will probably show again after the financial packages are finished.

@RockyPA - Did you hear anything on merit aid? My son applied in September and got the buttons within a week and no word on merit aid yet. Thanks.

@PAPalkar nope! Nothing yet! I am hoping it means she is still being considered for a larger scholarship (Chancellor’s maybe?) But who knows… browsing through last year’s thread I found out a student admitted to MIT with super high stats and other very impressive academic accomplishments and was offered zero merit from Pitt.

Last year, students received notification for Pitt Honors starting on Friday 1/10/20. Since nobody posted about Honors acceptance last Friday, I’m hoping some of the decision will come out this week. Anybody has inside track when it will come out ?

Just got buttons on 1/8 & got acceptance email/video on 1/11. Yea! Hopefully there is merit too since we are OOS. Will let you know once we get the official letter with or without merit so you know time in-between. Continued Good Luck everyone!
