<p>I received my letter of acceptance to Pitt about a month ago. About a week after that, I received a letter of acceptance to the Honors college and a letter of guaranteed acceptance to the graduate business program. I was just wondering when or if I should hear about a scholarship? I live out of state, and I'm pretty sure I meet any qualifications there are to receive some sort of scholarship. Any help would be great!</p>

<p>What are is your GPA and test scores? ACT and/or SAT (including SAT breakdown).</p>
<p>Pitt will send merit scholarship information before any need-based aid. And it can take anywhere from a couple weeks to a couple months. (It took about a month for me to hear back about it - got accepted in Nov, got scholarship last week - which I gather is about average.) </p>

<p>My S received his merit scholarship letter from Pitt about 1 week after his acceptance letter. He didn’t have to do anything to get it sent, it seems it was automatic.</p>
<p>mom2collegekids- I’m not sure when they send them out. I’ve been on the website a lot, and I can’t seem to find if they come together or separately. I have a 4.0 GPA, 32 on ACT, 660 SAT Reading, 620 SAT Math, and 650 SAT Writing.</p>

<p>The Pitt subforum is the best place for this information, last year there was a thread where people reported the scholarships they received, when they applied, stats, etc.</p>
<p>@ amil - I don’t know what the conversion is for the 32 ACT, but for scholarships at Pitt, I think a minimum 1400 (CR+M) is required.</p>
<p>1400 reading and math is a general guideline for Pitt’s honors program. However, you need higher scores for a merit scholarship.</p>
<p>I got into the honors program because of my ACT score and GPA I’m pretty sure. It’s a 4.0 unweighted, so when you factor in all the AP classes it’s higher. The ACT to get into the honors program was 32, so I think that’s it. Thanks for the info on the scholarship. I didn’t expect a full ride or anything, but all the other colleges I’ve applied to have at least offered me a small scholarship. I’m not sure if I can afford Pitt otherwise.</p>
<p>Last year D2 got about a half tuition scholarship (12k) with a 4.0/1470. Since we’re OOS it would have taken full tuition to make it a reasonable choice, so we asked for reconsideration, they said you needed at least 1500 for the full tuition scholarship. I honestly think timing matters too, the earlier you apply and are considered for scholarships, the better chance you have.</p>
