University of pittsburgh full scharship

I am a male caucasion junior from illinois who just finished my first semester and am considering the university of pittsburgh, knowing that they offer full scholarships. My unweighted GPA is 4.0, weighted is 4.55. I took one AP as a sophmore, 3 as a junior, and am enrolled in 4 next year. The only ACT i took at the end of sophmore year i got a 32, so i am hoping for a 34 when i take it this year. Moderate EC's (varisty soccer, NHS, Future Doctors of America, Future Business Leaders of America, volunteer at food bank and hospital). No national merit (only got 208). Do you think i would have a chance at getting the full scholarship at Pitt assuming i keep my grades up? Thanks

Here is some info on scholarships:

But there is no guarantee on those test score minimums. You have an advantage being out of state. SAT/ACT is really important so do lots of practice tests before taking them again.

I’m a junior on full-tuition scholarship at Pitt. It has definitely gotten more competitive since I applied 4 years ago. I had a 32 ACT and around 4.5 GPA weighted, total of 7 AP classes, etc. Being out-of-state (and not NJ like me or other popular states) will definitely be in your favor, but you can never know with these things. Best of luck!

If it helps I am from Illinois too and got full tuition. I have similar ecs, 35 act, natl merit. If you get your act up to 34, I think you have a good chance given that you’re out of state.

Assuming you get the test score up, the key seems to be applying early before other competitive applicants from your state. If the ACT doesn’t pan out, you can also try the SAT.
