University of Pittsburgh & Need-Based Aid

So like, how good is Pitt /really/ with financial aid? I've heard it's not so good. Experience? Thoughts?

Other’s experience is pretty meaningless. Run the Net Price Calculator for your families numbers to get an estimate.

UPitt is OOS for you. Your stats are good, but not merit worthy for UPitt. UPitt won’t likely give you much/any money.

run the NPC with your parents’ income and see what the results are.

Public U, OOS, =/= good FA. Merit is different. Heck, UPitt, instate is probably not good FA.

Have cousins at Pitt with need. They did not meet full need for any of them even in state. OOS costs $10K more, and I have no idea if they would treat OOSers differently. Usually OOSers get even less need met. NPCs are not as accurate for OOSers whent he school is state school because a number of such schools have different standards for in vs out of staters.
