@wc0512, GAP letters typically go about about 10 business days after the admissions letter. For the University Honors College, you can look up whether or not you are eligible to automatically enroll in honors courses right online: https://oafa.pitt.edu/explore/university-honors-college/
Hey everyone! I applied to Pitt nursing last week and am awaiting my decision. Would anyone who was accepted mind sharing their stats? Especially GPA, I think I have my test scores down (35 ACT) but my gpa is lacking.
I applied back on 8/2 but my August sat scores arrived at the school on 9/15. I was just wondering if anyone who has been accepted has similar stats to me.

Pittsburgh is my absolute first choice, and I’m getting very anxious to hear anything from admissions.
For those who got accepted, did the accept/decline buttons show up a couple days before the email? I got the buttons today and I’m super super excited but I also don’t want to get my hopes up
@nursing2022 Hey! After the buttons showed up, I received the official email 2 days later, and then the actual letter itself showed up in the mail about 3 days later.
Hey guys! I’m also looking into applying for the U Pittsburgh nursing program and I was just wondering if you guys applied through the Common App or a separate application? Also, just to clarify, is this for the class of 2022, because I didn’t know they sent out acceptance letters that early heh. Thanks so much guys and I wish you guys the best of luck!
@dancingpotato3 hey sorry for the late reply! Yes this is for the class of 2022, and you can apply either directly on the Pitt Application found on their website or through the Coalition Application. They’re on a rolling admissions schedule so they send out acceptances as they receive and review applications. Good luck! And I’m happy to help if you have anymore questions because I also was admitted into Pitt nursing.
My daughter received a video acceptance last night. It said a formal letter is on the way. She applied for nursing so I’m hoping that she got into that program. She submitted her application about 3 1/2 weeks ago so I’m hoping that the quick turn around time means that she was accepting into her intended major. Anyone have experience with this? I’m feeling so nervous until the actual letter comes.
@lisag519 My daughter also got into the nursing school! We anxiously waited for the letter too since the video didn’t say what program. Congrats to your daughter!
@lisag519 Yes it came about a week after the video and states nursing. I understand your concerns, I was worried to until I saw it in writing. Good luck!
My son heard from UPitt Nursing on the 25th - he’s in! He applied on the 7th so he had a less than 3 week turn around time! We got the video but just to make sure I called admissions and asked if it was for nursing and they said yes unless otherwise stated its for your first choice - which for him is Nursing.
@FanOfFootball Letter came and school of nursing in in print! Yay! When do merit aid letters go out? I didn’t realize that Pitt’s tuition is based on major and nursing is the most expensive major!
