University of Puget Sound

Does anyone know about the quality of this school or heard anything good? I know it's nationally ranked and someone in another discussion said it has honorable mention. I'm looking to transfer to a LAC this fall for Japanese and Chinese and maybe Russian language study. I don't have a very good academic background (between 2.5 and 3.0, mostly closer to 2.5) but I hadn't figured out what I wanted from school until the last couple of years. I've taken no tests and have no ECs and work full time right now while taking GE classes at a CC. I guess I didn't have much interest in what I was learning until I discovered language study. Still, right now I'm doing only okay since I'm taking GEs and don't really care about these classes other than taking them just to get them out the way, especially math! I have to take my pre-algebra class again because I got a D. I hate math with a fiery passion and I with I could burn it. I do very well in language classes which I've unfortunately only taken two of (Japanese I and II, both easy A's). I'm creative so art and English is also something I excel at. Obviously, I need a school that's not so picky but is still decent in language.

I must sound like the worst possible student. It's not that I slack off with these classes, it's just that I have a much harder time retaining what's taught if I see it as an obstacle to what I'm really after, and that's foreign language and culture focus.

if you get your AA degree from your CC and get good grades one of the big state schools or Universities will probably take you (due to their agreement with the CCs) and they have everything under the sun to offer you.

I'm in a similar situation right now with UNC-CH, but I've already obtained my AA and I have been told I have a very good chance at getting in.
