Has anyone heard anything yet from URI for Fall 2023?
We didn’t hear yet either, applied around October 20th. Since EA deadline was Dec 1st I’m thinking they won’t start acceptances until all EA applications are reviewed. Maybe?
I am hoping mid December. D23 applied on October 1st so we are hoping it is soon!

Applied 11/1, still waiting anxiously. It’s my daughter’s first choice - she’s gotten into 2 and 3, but really hopjng to hear back soon!

URI is also at the very top of our D23’s list. She loved her visit there! She is anxiously awaiting word. We think her chances of getting in are good - just need the COA to be manageable.
Same situation. I think she’s a strong candidate but not sure it’ll be affordable compared to her other acceptances. Sigh.

I called URI they said mid January for EA unfortunately - long wait
Thanks! Earlier, before my D23 applied they sent out an email encouraging EA and said students who applied by 12/1 might hear as early as mid-december. But things can change.

From what I could see from last year, they released decisions on 12/15/21. So mid-December is possible if they keep it similar to last year.

Here is the wording from their email in mid November, encouraging our daughter to apply early:
" Applying Early Action ensures that you are considered for our highest level merit scholarships and that you may receive a decision from us in mid-December. Wouldn’t it be great to know your college options before winter break?"

We went to an Open House in November & one of the admissions staff referenced EA students hearing in mid December

Called and spoke to URI Admissions rep - they are saying mid to late January for EA notification. They MAY get out some earlier and then it would also be random - not based on major or date of applying.
