I just got in to the University of Richmond. Can anyone let me know how good it is/if there are good job opportunities after college?

Are you able to attend one of their admitted student’s days? We went today and their job placement stats are great-I can’t remember the exact numbers but they are impressive. The business school sounds wonderful and is top-ranked. Our son is not going that route, so we didn’t attend any of the business sessions.

Hopefully, you can visit - it is a stunning campus and an impressive school.

dwhite: How did the admitted student day go? Any suggestions for those attending next weekend? Are there chances to speak with financial aid people and see the dorms and upper class apartments? Thanks for any help you can offer before we visit on the 14th.

dwhite, thanks alot. my family and i are planning on going next weekend, looking forward to visiting the campus.

1luckydog - Admitted student’s day was great - it was well organized, everyone was very nice and the weather was spectacular, which made an already gorgeous campus even more beautiful!

You will get an email with the schedule this week, but from our experience there is time to do anything you would like. There are 2 time-slots for the most popular events - campus tours and class visits. Lunch is a 2 hour time block with a residence hall tour available, and an “open house” at the recreation and wellness center, library as well as a student services fair and an activities fair.

There are also various academic panels, financial matters , etc sessions in the morning and afternoon. And, according to our schedule, the financial aid office was open from 8:30- 5 with no appointment necessary.

All, in all, a successful day. My son loved it but he still has 2 more admitted student’s days this week so the jury is still out!

Good luck and enjoy your visit.

Thanks so much dwhite. Sounds like you had a great time. Enjoy the rest of your visits.
