Fed-ex express envelope. Pretty thin if you ask me.

i got deferred, do you know if they even deny anybody?

Yeah, my classmate got denied. No deferral or anything.

ya they denied my bf

2160 SAT and get deferral from Richmond ED? Really?

I believe it (deferred with a 2160). Probably too many from NJ applied. I was deferred with a 2000 SAT and some outstanding leadership extracurriculars and I was bringing an external, full-tuition, academic scholarship with me. I guess UR really is need blind. But, I cannot wait until UR’s RDs are out. I was accepted by a much-more selective national research university and they need my decision now.

…I got accepted with an 1850…

Admitted and deferred students, did your letters say anything about the number of ED applicants this year or the number/% of students who were admitted/deferred? Thanks!

It didn’t give an acceptance rate, but said there were over 570 applicants.

I ended up getting deferred with a 3.75 (W) and a 31 along with some good ECs and what I thought were really strong essays. Not liking my chances for RD.

We get it Yuer2011- you sucked in hs, and your admission was a fluke. You don’t have to continue treating this forum as if it is your personal blog.

Sorry kgro16. I won’t post anymore. I was just trying to get people’s hopes up by trying to say if I can get in then you guys have a heck of a chance. I’ll leave you guys with this DATA set with all the information on the 2010 admissions. Statistics and everything. Good Luck guys and kgro16 i admit I did go a little too far. I’m just really excited.

EDIT: pages 8-13 will give you admissions statistics.

Congratulations Yuer. The next 8 months will fly by!

I had a 3.58 UW and a 28 on my ACT. My extra-curriculars were great or so my guidance counselor said. I’m not positive they saw my 28 though since I wasn’t able to send it until last Monday because of standby. My unweighted will definitely go up after semester grades. What do you all think about RD for me?

Congrats to those who got in and condolences to those who did not.

I did not get into my first choice for school, and honestly, things couldn’t have worked out better. I’m a true believer that when life closes a door, a window is opened.

If you really believe that UR is the place for you, you should definitely apply for RD and then weigh your options.

I live in Texas and still haven’t gotten my letter, I was wondering if anyone else is still waiting on their’s?

Also, how legit of an indicator is the payment thing because my i.d. sent me to the $600 deposit page.

I have the same question as kw1850. How legit is the deposit page theory?

I went to the link, put in my ID and it asked for my deposit. The thing is, I did not apply ED. But I did send my application very early (first week of November).

I wouldn’t believe it until you have an acceptance letter in your hand.

i wouldnt believe it either, but so far it looks like its a pretty reliable trend.
again, don’t bank on it though
