University of Richmond RD applicants 2018

Hey guys, can you see the amount of the FA award on your bannerweb?

@KatherynP Nope. Does that mean I’ve been rejected? Can you see your award?

@TheCrazyDude Nope, I can’t see my award either. I’m trying to figure out if that means anything.

@KatherynP it doesn’t mean anything then. I think the FinAid award is received with the acceptance letter. Then if you choose richmond and pay the enrollment deposit then your banner web is updated. That’s what I interpreted from the UR website.

I’ve been accepted, and I can’t see my award on bannerweb. I received my financial aid with my acceptance letter.

Waitlisted…
stats:
33 ACT 2260 SAT
94% uw gpa 101% weighted
Student Govt Leader, Student Council Secty, theatre company + 3 four-year jobs, a few other ECs
Letters were prob OK (2 strong & 1 in the middle)
I thought that Richmond was a good match for me but you never really know with admissions.

Congrats to all who were accepted!

In Missouri and still waiting for a response. Hopefully it will come Friday.

Wait, I just got an email from my regional counselor saying I got in!

@murrrr – surprising to me…high stats and good ECs. With these stats you should be viable in many places!

Wow, I’m not even sure how to call my decision  I’m an international student, and they said that they would reeeally like to enroll me, but they can’t provide me with any FA, so if I find enough recources by May 1, I should notify them and they’ll offer me a place! Wow. I’m not sure I’ll be able to pay for it though. But it,s definitely nice to know that money is the only reason, not my stats, essays, personality, or whatever.
Congradulation to all accepted, Richmond’s great! :)

@murrrr I just got an acceptance letter and my grades and scores are very similar to yours. Literally the exact same SAT score, but of course there are other factors that make the process highly subjective. I am sure you have gotten into other good places with those stats though  BTW I got my financial aid award letter with my acceptance and it is surprisingly (VERY SURPRISINGLY) generous, but I also received a letter at the same time saying that they were missing a piece of my financial aid info and could not supply me with an award letter??! Makes no sense… on bannerweb it said I had everything in weeks before now, and as I said above they did in fact supply me with an award letter with my name on it… guess I will be contacting the financial aid office.

@KatherynP … same applies for me. They have put me in wait list and can offer me admissions only if I can manage external sources to fund the COA. :(

@KatherynP & @3151student : I might be to late in this thread but same thing here.
International student requesting aid, received a letter stating that they would basically accept me if I could come up with the funds, unfortunately it is not a possibility for me.

Anyone here received/offered UR international scholarship?? By How much??

Here is an article in 2012 that showed the average amount of Richmond’s scholarship: $36,860.

http://www.examiner.com/article/colleges-awarding-the-most-merit-aid-to-the-most-students

Based on Richmond’s Common Data Set 2013-2014, 40.6% of the freshmen received FA, 6.5% with non-need schoalrship (average $39, 785), 7% with athletic scholarship (average $29,378), and 45.9% full-pay.
