@Houner Depending on when you submitted your app, I would email admissions. They are very responsive and it is better to be safe than sorry.
@JemmaSimmons Thanks for ur repsonse. I submitted on 5th of jan . I sent an e-mail ,but no response + on common app it said that they have downloaded my files . Is it a serious problem. I calling them tomorrow
@Houner I think it’s good that you’re calling, but I do not think it is a big deal. Because they were closed over the holidays, they are probably still catching up on matching the apps that came in then. It’s only been two business days since you submitted your app.
Did anyone schedule a interview with Rochester?? Also, I applied as a HEOP applicant, should I wait for them to invite me to HEOP applicant interview ?
My S is still on stage 3 - has anyone moved onto Stage 4 or 5?
@MOMOFMAM I’m on Stage Four.
Smartisan5, I interviewed with Rochester a few days ago via Skype (I’m an international student)!
@neuromaniac My S interviewed in October…But still on Stage 3, @JemmaSimmons when did you move to Stage 4 …
@MOMOFMAM I’ve been in Step Four for probably about a month. I applied a bit early because I’m a GEAR applicant.
I have my interview tomorrow, any tips for the question they may ask you ???
@Smartisan5 They ask you things like what do you like about Rochester, what are your interests in terms of major, etc. It is seriously one of the most chill interviews-the rep I met with could not have been nicer. Be prepared to ask a good amount of questions about the school and maybe some specific programs bc at the end of the interview they ask you if you have any questions and it’d look bad if you were like ‘nope all good’ lol. Good luck! Seriously you’ll be fine
@Smartisan5 in the application request for the interview, what did you write for academics? It’s really broad and I’m not sure what to write for it
@darkangel3541 I didn’t have to write anything, r sure you have to write something ???
@darkangel3541 , i had questions about these too; just wrote what want to major in and why, as well my other academic interests… the interview went very well, interviewer asked me interests of mine, so believe that that’s you’re supposed write! there’s another section for your current course load, anyway.
Any of you guys apply to GEAR?
@Smartisan5 yup, there are things to write for Academics, Extracurriculars, Current Course Load, Why UR, and additional comments.
@neuromaniac thanks!
I remember it is the paper you fill out before interview, but I don’t have a section for course load and why UR. Do they have different forms for different interview locations ???
i didn’t - i had to answer to these questions for my international skype interview
Does going through the steps fast mean anything? Also, do we get results at step 5 or in April no matter how fast we move through the steps?
i think we all get the results back on april 1st - as for the first question, i don’ t know.
