My daughter applied but had not heard back yet. However, when she logs in to her status much of the information is gone. Has anyone else experienced this?
@usualhopeful I’ll let you know at the end of March lol. I haven’t heard back from a single school yet (well I am in one safety but I’m waiting to see if I got into the honors college). My list was longer because I wanted to apply to more reach schools/competitive schools. I am in range SAT/GPA wise for almost every school I applied to but I’m not super impressive like most people on this forum so I figured the more I applied to, the better chance at least one school would say yes. I am actually still worried I did not apply to enough schools. I applied to a couple safeties and some targets but I’m still worried. So if I manage to get into one of the “top” schools I applied to, I would say it was worth it. Otherwise, yes, I probably wasted my money and my time writing so many essays. But I figured you only have one chance (excluding transfers) to apply to college as an undergraduate so I figured-why not? Might as well throw my hat in the ring. Worst thing I get a rejection. You only don’t have a chance if you don’t apply. But I do think applying to like 30+ schools is a waste of time and money.

Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: I showed a lot of interest and dedicated so much of my time to writing those essays.
Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected: I applied to the University of Rochester as an Early Decision Applicant and was accepted in December so I didn’t apply to any other out of state schools. I was accepted to Florida International University, Florida State University, and University of Florida.
DOLIKEIDO, thank God you are not my kid. My daughter applied to nine, which in retrospect was about two or three too many. Applying to 26 is just irresponsible. It perpetuates the silliness universities do about acceptance rates and yield.
Anyone who got accepted via EA, can you comment, when did Rochester give details about merit aid? Did it come as a separate mail or it is posted in portal myRoc? Thanks.
