•University of Rochester RD Class of 2020•

@WaywardVagabond yeah I just checked at like 3:30 and a decision was posted.

STILL NOTHING

are there gonna be more decisions released today? When is the next batch?

@WaywardVagabond Yes I got an email just now. I got in with 28 act, 4.1 GPA, interview, lots of ECs. Don’t get discouraged!

Just want to say that I just got accepted. I don’t know how many times I have checked MyRoc and this Board in the last few months! I also want to say that all of you on the Forum have been so supportive and kind to each other, it helped me remain calm. Good Luck to all who haven’t received news yet.

(Brief summary)

Just got accepted, I am so happy. So I am an international student and my admission was need-aware, so will the university meet my demonstrated need?

@imansoor14 are you Canadian/Mexican?

@imansoor14 I don’t know how it works for international students, but they won’t necessarily meet need. I just got my financial package - need was calculated 8k over what the FAFSA came up with, and they still gapped me by $71 according to their own calculations.
(Sorry for the slightly bitter tone, I’m trying to be informative but it was a rough day in college news for me.)

@usualhopeful What do you mean they gapped you by $71? Congrats btw.

did anyone here get a personalized acceptance letter?

I didn’t know Rochester did these kinds of things, so I thought that was kinda neat

@PokemonBirth - URochester calculated my need at $21,850 and provided enough FA to bring the cost down to $21,921.
