Hello,
Due to financial circumstances, it’s very unlikely I’ll be able to return to the University of Rochester for the fall semester. With that being said, I was hoping you could chance me for transferring to Cornell for Spring 2018.
Information from College:
GPA - 3.8 (first semester 3.6, second 3.9)
Major - English/Education
Extracurriculars - Sigma Delta Tau sister and Chapter Sustainability Chair (the Alpha chapter is at Cornell), LEAP Tutor, Writing Fellow, Financial Advisor for Eye to Eye, Presentation Editor of The Campus Times (UR’s school newspaper), Meridian Society (very exclusive tour guide group), overnight host for admissions
Information from High School:
GPA - 3.5
SAT - 1850 (Math 250, Reading 800, Writing 800)
Extracurriculars - Marching Band, Orchestra, Vice President of Key Club, President of the Recycling Club, President of Creative Writing Club, Editor for school newspaper
Additional Info - I worked as a intern at a local tax firm for four years and I also was the study body chairman of a very important community project that honored a school alumni
***I have SEVERE numeric processing disorder (more commonly referred to as an unusual type of dyslexia). For that reason, my SAT and GPA were low in high school due to math requirements.
Thanks guys! Reminder to anyone who ever has to transfer for reasons outside of your control… the world is your oyster and you’ve been given a great opportunity! Keep your head up!
