Thank you!

Oh and my GPA is 3.9 (4.28 weighted)

You’re on the low end of their mid-50%. You have a decent shot, but to make yourself more competitive you should consider retaking either the SAT or ACT (whichever you feel you could improve the most) and possibly applying ED.

How much should the SAT I be atleast to have a good shot at Rochester?

@Luffy95 The breakdown for their mid-50% for SAT I is:
CR: 600-700
Math: 650-750
Writing: 620-700
So you want your scores to be in or above that range.

I was also interested in applying to Rochester as a reach school, what do you think are my chances?

Parents both had cancer so possibility of a great eassy

@mclovin2 your ECs are good. Make sure your essay is good and not too sad. While you have the possibility of a great essay, you also have the possibility of a really depressing essay that admissions officers aren’t going to want to read. You still have time to retake the SAT in October, especially if you are applying RD. If you’re applying early, the October date should still be okay, but you can probably find out on the school’s website. You could also take the ACT if you feel you’d score better on that. I suggest either taking the ACT, retaking the SAT, or both.
