my Sat are 2000. just say. that i get a 3.7 1st quarter with(3ap and 4honor) of my senior year and i do early admission.

Just make your essays amazing, and apply ED if you're really committed. My brother had low GPA and SAT scores (relatively speaking to CC standards) because he spent his time doing as he put it "more interesting things" than studying for standardized tests/doing homework. But his essays were amazing, so he got in ED.

will UR be really a reach even if i do ED? i was thinking about university of illinois of urbana champane too. i mean if i have like no chance of getting into UR with ED, why try?

No one on this anonymous internet board can tell you that you have no chance of getting in. Rochester looks at more than grades; it's a holistic review. I know kids with declining grades who have gotten in. Showing interest in the school and interviewing (either on or off campus) is very important to them.

If it's your first choice, and you're committed, apply ED. That's the only reason to apply ED.

I second Chedva, I think interviewing at U of R is really important. I'm headed there in the fall, and I got the impression that the amount of interest you show can greatly help or hinder your acceptance. Their interview is really low key, and was probably my favorite.

I wasn't saying you have no shot or anything, I was just letting you know that your grades declining isn't too good. At least your weighted GPA went up over the years. You never mentioned ECs or anything, so that could always be a big boost, as well as essays and interviews. You have the SAT scores. If you really want to go to URochester, then by all means, apply early.

Definitely show lots of interest and schedule an interview. This can make up for some of the lower grades and GPA. I managed to get an interview 10 min from my house in Jersey and had a nice hour-long meeting with the interviewer. Had many questions to ask but also did enough research to sound very knowledge about the school. I'd say the school was a high match for me, maybe a low reach, but I think that interview was the clincher that got me in. Would have given the school alot more consideration if I was awarded more money than I was.

UR is very strong in business. It has a highly regarded graduate business program and offers undergraduate certifications in management and other business subjects.

My GPA when applying was a 3.7 Unweighted. My school had an odd scale that, with weighting, allowed it to go to a 4.5 total. My weighted GPA on that scale was 4.2. And my SAT score was 1310 with a 730 on the SAT II Writing
