Anyone have any info on this?

It interests me alot because I'm looking for private schools in the west.
San Diego seems like an amazing town, and the college would probably fit what I'm looking for!

Thanks

USD is a top 100 rated National University. Absolutely beautiful campus, located on a bluff near Mission Bay. Great basketball team, too!

Here are some more photos of the USD campus.

Was the only true non-scholarship* football program to be ranked last year.

The Ivys and Patriots don't offer athletic scholarships but offer such comprehensive financial aid that nearly all students are on scholarships. USD students often pay their own way.

I know several students that are going there. It appears to be a fairly religious campus, so hopefully that's what you're looking for.

Reportedly pretty campus. Academically not bad at all but not as many academic assets as U of California-San Diego or San Diego State University. Said to be a rich kids college. Some comments from students complain about social/income status issues on campus.

It used to be called -- and maybe still is -- University of Spoiled Daughters

Well, that is a fairly common complaint at a lot of private colleges. So its not unique. And often those complaints are unfounded in so far as how students are treated. That rich kids exist on these campuses (and even state schools) is without question. That they treat moderate income students poorly is a fallacy. I know rich kids who disdain the money they have and mock it repeatedly. I know some who HIDE it so that they fit in better.

Elitism is endemic in our society. The biggest problem I see is elitism in education, which may or may not have anything to do with income levels.

Educational snobbery is disgusting. Just my two cents.

this is the same as UCSD right? lol or maybe not

No -- UCSD is University of California, San Diego.

OP wants to know about University of San Diego, a Catholic private school.
