I recently went to look at schools in the Bay Area and really loved the vibe and the atmosphere at USF. I also looked at Santa Clara and Mills College. Compared to the other two, USF did not mention their Bio programs much at all, other than the fact that they hope to redo their labs. Can anyone tell me how USF compares, and what people say about it? I would rather go to a school that I have to make a few concessions on atmospherically than go to a school where I will get a mediocre education. Any rankings, or general reputations would be incredibly appreciated.

I think there are much better choices for colleges with a strong biology program in the San Francisco Bay Area/California than USF. Certainly, UC Berkeley, UC Santa Cruz, etc. and certainly Stanford.

The only problem is that I am an out of state student, so the UC schools are out of my price range. I am applying to Stanford, but I am not going to put all of my eggs in that basket, seeing as I could get in, I could not get in, it could honestly go either way.
