University of South Carolina Early Action for Fall 2023

Mine from 2 years ago got the “at least” merit in her acceptance. Thats exactly what she received when the final number came out and not a penny more.
BUT fast forward to her now sophomore year and she was awarded more money through her department

Deferred. 3.63 GPA, 1220 SAT. Strong resume with lots of extra curricular, volunteering. I am wondering what % of deferred get admitted.
We have heard that because there was over enrollment last year that they were accepting fewer early action admissions and deferring more than typical. (heard this from admissions at several schools). Congratulations to admitted!

My daughter got her acceptance on 11/19 and she’s in state.

Accepted OOS!

3.8 UW/4.2 W, test optional. No merit, but not surprised. Just glad to have it as an option as its one of my D’s top choices!

Did some digging in previous year forums…looks like in the past there have been two rounds–a mid Feb where some deferrals get in and then a final round in March.

Mine was deferred so drop down prediction was right. 1380 SAT, 4.0 GPA.
