Mine was deferred as well. Also had the drop down menu the entire time.
Yep!
Just reposting my thoughts for those that, like me, got deferredā¦
"Love the school that loves you back.ā I understood it, but never really āgot itā until recently. Clemson was my dream school for a long time - likely because I hadnāt really researched any other schools, I liked the success of the sports teams and loved the location.
Fast-forward to last year - I did in-depth research and visited other schools. While Clemson was no longer my one and only, it remained in my top 5 or 6. After witnessing the cluster of Clemson EA (and now U of SC) and what I see as a somewhat arbitrary and rushed application review process, Iāve grown to dislike it - mind you, I was deferred so this may sound like sour grapes. If Iām being honest, maybe it is and maybe thatās the point - "Love the school that loves you back.ā
Iāve been accepted to a few of my top choices and am waiting for a few more and of those that accepted me, I love them even more!
Good luck! I hope you find true love
So does your letter say instate + 40000$ extra scholarship?
Wow, that is shocking. What major?
Yes!
I got 86,000 dollars!!!
Do you know when Honors College decisions will come out? I think I read mid-February??
Were you asking me the major? Exercise Science. Yes we were surprised. He is In NHS, 7 AP classes, rest honors. 3 sport varsity athlete, captain of one, Club President, part time jobā¦
Wow, I am shocked. Maybe that is a very competitive major? Iām sure heāll be admitted in the next round. Still, it stings.
Maybe - deferred at Clemson and we realized after he applied to two capped majors.

Are there any denials or was everyone not admitted just deferred until March?
Havenāt heard yet
Where did you find out about merit? In the portal?
Does anyone have any insight into how scholarships work? D23 OOS got in with merit (at least 40,000) but with 10 APs + 2IBs, 4.0 unweighted, and a 1420 on the SAT plus strong extracurriculars and 200+volunteer hours, we thought she might qualify for a higher bracket.
This was what we got two years ago and what we got in March that year. What I was told is that usc recalculates to their own scale so what your high school gpa is might not be what it is at usc. And thatās what they base it off of.
Accepted OOS! Got the $86k+ scholarship. Darla Moore School of Business Pre-International Business
Good to knowāthank you! Makes the decision easier!
