I’m really can’t understand why they would have you set that count up if you weren’t admitted. But who knows. Hopefully that is a good sign!
Yes the VIP ID is needed and should be in the email.
Congrats!!! Yeah wild… my kiddo accepted into several top ten schools early action… but ? on SCHC… goes to show its wild process. So it goes. I’m sure all will do well.
Yes, you should’ve gotten that VIP ID email around admittance time. (Search your email for VIP ID - I didn’t remember getting it with that particular focus in the title, sure enough it’s in the body of the email only.)
For us, clicking through to set up that VIP ID was a fail. And kiddo hasn’t followed up with USC tech to get it sorted. I guess if he likes it a lot at admitted student day, he will do it then

Are we expecting Honors College decisions today? Its a long shot for my DS but hoping to at least get Capstone.

Not sure but I have always been under the impression that capstone is announced in April along with final Merit decisions.
But would you get a decision first about Honors? I believe it said mid-Feb.
We had a big fail, too, but it turns out it was our fault. My husband had gotten an email saying they needed financial aid info, and when he updated that, he didn’t realize he had “claimed” my daughter’s account. He set it all up with his info! What a mess. IT was very helpful, though. So definitely call them to get it sorted out.

A few years ago we got Capstone invite and final merit on 2/22.

For those who were deferred in December, have you heard anything? Two years ago, they released decisions on 2/17 (Wednesday) and last year they released on 2/16 (Wednesday). And seemed to be around 4:00-4:30. My D has heard nothing so far today. An acceptance would be really nice, but looks like there were a fair number of waitlists (after deferral) last year. If D is waitlisted, I will encourage her to just cut UofSC from her list.

Saw that. We were invited to apply for honors but were deferred in early action, so I assume this is only for kids who applied for honors and were accepted EA? Correct?
D applied EA and was waitlisted for Honors. (In state)
Sorry if I am asking something already addressed above . . . has merit for EA been announced yet? My daughter hasn’t received any information, we are OOS so cost is important.
