University of Southern California Competitiveness

Hi, I was just wondering how truly competitive it is to get into USC (specifically the Marshall School off Business) The acceptance rate in 2012 was 18%. However, I have heard this is somewhat of an "artificial" acceptance rate because so many students apply to USC just for the heck of it. Also, would these general stats be in the ballpark for admission, assuming the extra - curriculars were on par? I do not need financial aid.

Non-Weighted gpa: 3.6
Weighted gpa: 3.86

Non-Weighted 10-12 gpa: 3.85 (significant upward trend after freshman year)
Weighted 10-12 gpa: 4.25

SAT: 2180

Thank you.

Does your school rank, if so what is your rank?

It does, however it is private and I don’t know it yet. Also, my school is frequently among the 10 most represented high schools at USC.

why usc? have you looked into any other schools?
