University of Southern California?

How is this school's biology program? All the site does is list that it offers a B.S. major in biology for undergrad which is what I'm looking for...but it does not go into detail at all! And so far my top choice Cali schools have had either a marine lab, affiliation with a nearby marine lab, or a biology program offering actual emphasis in marine bio./oceanography. I want to eventually get a career branching out of marine biology. I'm now a senior in HS and want to do early decision if available. This will rly help me out thanks!

The USC Wrigley Institute for Environmental Studies on Catalina Island, where you can spend a semester there doing research, or take 4 week Maymester courses or even spend your spring break there!

"The USC Wrigley Institute offers several programs for undergraduate students:

Catalina Sustainability Semester, Spring 2014; run through the Environmental Studies Department—Applications are due in the Environmental Studies (ENST) office no later than September 25.
Field courses are periodically offered through the Environmental Studies Program; more information can be found on the Environmental Studies Program website.

Check out Environmental studies- many students take advantage of the opportunities to do both a major and minor at USC- for instance a BS in Biology with a minor in ES.

USC also offers a PHD in Marine Biology and Biological Oceanography- which means you would have the opportunity to contact profs and ask to do research- again, that is something that is highly encouraged in undergraduates.
