University of Southern California

So I can't decide where I want to go to college - Syracuse (Newhouse School), U Of Michigan, or USC. I'm into communications and I know Syracuse and USC have strong programs.

At USC I am kind of nervous because I'm not too big on partying (at least not yet) and am hoping there are other people like that too? What else is there to do at USC? Coming from Maryland, I am scared that I won't fit in and it will be too much of a change! Any thoughts on this? Also, where are good places to live for freshman at USC?

At large universities such as USC there will always be plenty of kids of every kind. You don't have to "fit in" to the entire school. Nobody does because nobody can. Just find your niche and fit in there.

^^ exactly, especially since USC has ~30k students.

Good places to live for freshmen at USC? The dorms. It's LA, so you're better off in the dorms.

definitely the dorms so you can meet other Frosh. And, yes, there are plenty of non-partiers at 'SC.

If you're not a partier, avoid New/North.

read studentreviews.com and click on the negative comments for USC. USC has the most negative comments by percentage than any other school on the site. Check it out. There must be a reason.

you do realize, you don't actually have to be a student at USC to post on that site? And that half of the bad reviews there seem to be that way?
