@DocJake I had the same thought last night - if only it was Thursday when this change showed up … we shall see …
looks like everyone got it…
hard to tell if “everyone” did … only about 4-5 people have actually weighed in so far - nobody has said that they didn’t see the change in status … I was hoping that someone would say it didn’t happen to theirs … UGH …
this is like water torture … lol
I am still clinging to @txmomager’s explanation …
Has anyone noticed their financial aid tab has changed? My sons says: “We have received your application for financial assistance. Please check back in the coming months for more information.”. I swear that was different a few days ago as well, or it is possible my mind is going insane with all this wishful drama!!LOL.
@Frisco07 I don’t see what you are seeing although we have yet to submit the financial assistance forms. I do see the “Welcome Longhorns” and “First time freshman” under the Housing Tab as well. I can’t imagine going through this torture over the next few months!
My son’s status changed this morning and now it says his HS transcript is in review on the To Do list. Everything was finished the last time I looked. He went to the theater audition last weekend and now the change.
Agreed, especially if there is no decision before the holidays!! My son submitted his FAFSA in October. So, that’s where his financial statement is coming from.
This is very small I know, but on the admission tab, there are two items- recommended and done. This week the Done box has a check in it (11 things). My daughter has had those 11 things “done” for well over 3 months but now it has a check in it. I’m fairly certain there was no check before. And yes, I realize that is ridiculous to even notice this small change and try to make something out of it, but…
We had a check in ‘DOne’ under Admissions but no check in the Honors section
@hstrsphnt I’ve been noticing that check for awhile now so am not sure if it means anything. But hey let’s keep on noticing the little things I’m very much open to reading into anything and everything right now!
I see the “DONE” check mark and the “Welcome Longhorns” and “classification first time freshman” on the housing app, but I really don’t think this means anything relative to his being accepted or not.
I have “welcome to longhorns” and check mark in “done” as well but it definitely doesn’t mean anything bc I consider UT a far reach for me
@Universitya11 did you also have this -“classification first time freshman” - on your housing portal? Just curious … thanks.
i might be about to make you all happy-ours does NOT say anything new under housing application. Sadly, I do not see welcome freshman anywhere or any new document uploads either. So I am crossing my fingers for you all!
I will say that we never did apply for on campus housing or financial aid so not sure if that is different from everyone above or not.
@dday666666 Yes
I called the UT Austin Undergraduate Admissions Office and they said that the next wave will likely be in January.
This means that the wave everyone is expecting this Friday and next Friday might not happen…
@xtexasmom - do you have the tab on your status page that says “submit your on campus housing application”? or no tab related to housing at all? I am trying to keep myself busy solving mysteries …
@cgreen12 - Maybe not, but they routinely say there won’t be a wave and then there is. I’d still place my bets on a Friday wave.
@xtexasmom Go to the On-campus housing application under ‘Recommended’ of the Admissions Tab. If you click on the Housing and Dining Application link, you’ll go to the Housing Portal. Once there, click on the appropriate link and you will be prompted to login again. Only then did I see Welcome Longhorn and classification first time freshman under my son’s name. We have yet to apply for housing or financial aid but I do see that message. Am hoping you will find it too.
